Mike Gustafsson has been actively taking pictures for 33 years. Professionally, he has been a photographer for 9 years.

He began his photographic endeavors using a Kodak Retinette 35mm camera that he borrowed from his parents. Over time he upgraded to a Nikon 35mm SLR and in recent years, Nikon digital SLRs.

Mike grew up in Vancouver Island's Comox valley, on the west coast of Canada, with spectacular views of glacial fields from his living room window. He inherited his love of nature from his parents, to whom a walk through the great outdoors was a part of everyday life. Naturally, it wouldn't take long for Mike to begin capturing the beauty that surrounded him on film.

Now a resident of Victoria, on the southern most tip of Vancouver Island, Mike still has unlimited access to the bountiful nature and wildlife of British Columbia. The goal of Mike's photography is to share the beauty that he sees in the world with others.
